This question would be better asked in electronics as i am sure at least one person there has pulled a bulb apart to see how it works.
Ceramic bulb making popping noise.
There is ceramic tile on the floor in the second floor bath.
Each of the 20 bulbs 5 per fitting emits this sound and they are in sync with each other at each fitting.
It is the original tile with no signs of repair or cracks in the tile or grout.
