Ceramic Braces Turn Yellow

Ceramic braces also known as clear braces are an orthodontic appliance used to straighten teeth and fix a patient s bite or minor jaw discrepancies. Do white braces turn yellow. You should talk to your orthodontist about why they are choosing the type of braces they are. You can maintain your oral hygiene as a starter. If teeth are not brushed after something is drunk or eaten then the brackets could begin to turn yellow. However the clear elastic ties rubber bands used to hold the wire into the braces can turn yellow over time regardless of the bracket used see picture below.

Ceramic braces are similar to metal braces in terms of structure but they re less noticeable because they use clear or tooth colored brackets rather than gray or metallic colored components.
